New Birth

“It is not always easy for us to distinguish between a moment of dying and a moment of new birth.” ”The Minipeople" is an art series that illustrates my experience with depression. Each image is a message from my subconsciousness trying to show me the way and guide me through difficult times. These works were a way to communicate with my soul when my mind was trying to keep me occupied with negative thoughts. This one is about a place full of mysteries. Full of stories about things that no one remembers anymore. Pieces of worlds that once existed. Memories that tries to remember and recreate something they don't remember themselves. Stories that have escaped the prison of words and limitations of symbols to return to its true nature. The spirit is released to merge once again with the place of its origin from which it has been separated for so long. Return home. Rejoining with what seemed to be lost forever. Is it about finding the right path? Leaving the past? Understanding what is really important? Letting go of things that doesn't matter? Or maybe it's about coming back to a place where I feel at home? Coming back to who I am within. Seeking to discover. Understanding. Beginning of the journey. Surrounded with stories, feelings and what seems to be the truth. Absorbed, focused, concentrated. Calm, attentive, observant. Loved, loving, compassionate. Full of joy. Grateful.
