On August 8th, 2021 @nounsdao tweeted: "behold, an infinite work of art", and a novel crypto, economic, and social experiment was born. One Noun, everyday, forever has created a new mechanism of time (and timelessness) in cryptoart. This piece displays each Noun created in the inaugural year of the Nouns project as a traditional "work of art".

If we look at each Noun as an individual work of art – in a context that makes it feel venerated – does it change how we think about the art itself? What happens if we take the time to appreciate each unique piece of art, rather than a grid of images of a collection? How does the art change when it is not shown in context with price? If we start to look at digital art in a more traditional physical context, does it change our notions of what is or isn't high art?

This piece is a tribute to the nounders decision to make Nouns CC0 – no permission was required to create this piece. It is also a tribute to the team of artists that came together to create "an infinite work of art": eboy, gremplin, timpers, and 4156.
