Esther works in an analogue developing studio, one of those rooms with the red light where the magic of transforming negatives into photographs happens.
We arranged to create images, I would paint a picture and she would take photographs. She took out of her backpack an old camera, an inkoflex (I think), and took some beautiful pictures of my dogs. Her other passion is furry animals.
She took pictures like a nouvelle vague protagonist would. She wore a str
striped shirt that Jean Seberg might as well have worn and hair above her shoulders like Anne Wiazemsky, well, more like Stacy Martin playing Anne in the Godard biopic "Bad Genius".
I understood that I had to put together the red light of the old photographic developing studios with the French cinema of the late 50's.
The scene of "Una femme est une femme" was perfect because of its red hue and of course Anna Karina.
We screened the film and at the right moment, Esther walked in front of the projector.
