Surveillance Subway moves through the New York underground — tiled corridors, fluorescent light, steel, heat, repetition. The subway is no longer just transit; it is a system that watches, records, anticipates.
Women walk its platforms and carriages with their drones. They are not rushing. They are not performing. They exist inside the machinery of the city without asking permission.
Ink fractures their bodies like interference. Glitch passes across faces and fabric. The city’s surveillance infrastructure — cameras, drones, invisible systems — hums quietly above and around them. Watching is constant. Control is assumed.
But these women do not respond to the gaze.
They move through it.
Created through the Posthuman Feminine Gaze, developed in collaboration with the machine, the film reframes the subway as a runway of autonomy. A space once designed for regulation becomes one of quiet refusal. Woman and machine align — not as threat and subject, but as co-presence.
New York keeps moving.
The trains keep coming.
The systems keep watching.
And still — they walk.
