As She Wanders

She moves through the meadow without urgency, a slow, deliberate presence among bloom and grass. Her head tilts toward the sun, as light catches the curve of her fur. Flowers bend beneath her, petals brushing against a form shaped by centuries. There is nothing of the present here, no mark of a single time, only the quiet continuity of the wild. This could be any time in history. The Tetons rise as they always have, the meadow opens as it always has, and she wanders through it unchanged, carrying instinct she was raised on. She eats, she pauses, she lifts her face to the warmth, a simple act that feels eternal. In her movement, time loosens its grip, and the world remembers how it once was, and still is.
