Where the Valley Meets the Sky

Above the river’s slow, quiet bend, granite peaks lift into the light. Their majestic spires survive wind and age, their silence larger than words. For those who see them for the first time, breath is momentarily forgotten, as if the land itself has stepped forward and asked to be felt rather than named. This is where I belong, the Tetons. These mountains know my name. My soul leans toward them, again and again. Drawn by the quiet gravity of stone and sky, and in their presence, I remember how to live.
