The Artefact

First seen in a GAN generated landscape of dark forests surrounding a green meadow, the artefact has reappeared in other places and other times. Unlike other artefacts of AI generated imagery the artefact is usually the focal point of the image in which it appears. It retains its shape, colour and features as it hops through time and space to appear in wildly different landscapes.
