English:
Monstruito emerges from a physical painting in acrylic on paper, inspired by the living, ever-changing forms of the Caribbean’s cenotes and coral reefs. In this animated version, the pictorial matter transforms into a cavernous creature—an organism that pulses between light and shadow, between pigment and sound.
Master Olinka, biologist and cave diving instructor, compared its form to a helictite, a speleothem that grows in impossible directions within underground chambers. That observation —both poetic and precise— encapsulates the spirit of the piece: a growth without apparent logic, a beauty that twists and expands in the liquid silence of the inner world.
With original sound by Master Grillo Grillasca, Monstruito is a visual echo of the organic and the unknown, a glimpse into the mystery that lives beneath the surface.
