He had decided to run for leader of the land, to rule all of Nacirema. To do so, he needed attention. The nation was vast, from ocean to ocean, and he needed its citizens to have his name on their lips. So he hatched a plan: he would start proclaiming to all that would listen that the children of Nacirema needed protection. In particular, he claimed that one group of people was to blame: the reeuq people. This group had a long role in history and was known to be meaningful contributors to society. Even so, he went to war on the reeuq people. He started passing dictates that said that schoolteachers in Adirolf couldn’t talk about reeuq people. He would tell anyone who listened about how this group was dangerous and even started to shut down their events when they would convene. All in the name of “the children of nacirema.” And, in many ways, it worked. Day by day, he got more attention. He realized that since the reeuq people were a small group, he could attack them as much as he wanted. They didn’t have enough people to fight back. The leader of Adirolf was a smart man.
