Father and son

This is my dad and my grandpa, the ones who taught me everything about painting.

Gosh, I wish I could know them a little better.

Maybe I'm painting them to get to know more.

"I knew my grandfather without ever having met him. He died at the height of his life, 40 years before I was born. I got to know him through my father, through the way my father became, the wounds, the resentments. I knew my grandfather through my father's scars.

Just as you will come to know my father through my wounds."
