Dracon Driene | Sacred Animals | Rituals Series. The Blue Desert or The Desert of the Blue Men is the place where the Iberians will live, an ancient sea where priests perform rituals and sacrifices, and where the three-eyed skull and black felines are worshipped. The land of Esperpentos is where elms used to grow and where some olive trees, acacias, almond trees and thyme now survive. Luis Toledo a.k.a. falling of the sea. The constant flow of the ocean often mirrors the movements of our own lives. The ups and the downs, the good and the bad, the light and the dark. Like the ocean, our lives are constantly moving, constantly evolving and shifting in a new direction with often unexpected and unpredictable waves hitting us along the way. This shot was conceptually formed to resemble those moments in time in, showing that every moment of darkness is followed by a wave of light. The harsh contrast between the light and the dark, split with a perfectly formed wave bridging the gap between the two. This piece was captured in Australia, on the coast of Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. After chasing the surf and the sunrise for close to 2 years this idea finally started to take shape. The ocean is a melody that never stays in one place, so why should we?

You put in the time, you dedicate yourself to your craft, you learn to market yourself; you sit, roll over, wag and jump all for someone to genuinely SEE you. All you’re looking for are eyes, minds and hearts that connect with what you’ve made… to feel every moment, every brushstroke, every thought, every FEELING you spent all of your time trying to convey… and for what? Nobody actually cares about art anyway. Especially not good art. Nobody really looks closely, do they? No. They want intrigue, they want popular culture, they want FOMO, they want a story… just not the one you made up, unfortunately. They DO want your story though, but fuck you if it’s not salacious. How many times have you been told from behind comments with fire emojis that your work only actually matters if YOU matter? More than you’ve probably noticed, and more than we ever really admit. People should care a lot more about art.

“Rapture”, a portrait of the absurd man, living bright and authentic in a world of disarray. A man that chooses the struggle, in the face of meaningless existence, and lives through it with the deepest expression of genuine freedom.

The unique version of my artwork “Aeolian4”. Princess Aeolian from the Ghostblade series. Created by wlop May 25, 2019 The collector will get the original PNG file in 6119×10666 pixels.

Door XXXIX
Edition 1 of 1
Created as an extension of investigating the door as a symbol in both the artist’s life and broader culture. The artist creates his digital paintings using custom software. He selects and changes variables by hand, layering the output of the generative algorithms he’s been writing since 2014. This process allows him to more rapidly and accurately manifest the vision in his mind’s eye, compared to the physical materials he began his artistic career with over 20 years ago. After Yukio Ota’s ISO Standard exit sign.

Nope
Edition 1 of 1
Don’t even think about thinking about it.

III. First Sacrifice
Edition 1 of 1
We’ve never been here before. This vast space to traverse seems daunting. No. Ignore the mirage. These are not artifacts buried in the sand. Decay is coming here. This desert is merely young and in the making. Leave them. Along with your offering. Even the grains will soon be too big of an increment to see. Mark your progress. Death to baby. Long live Luci. NOTE ABOUT THE BIDDING PROCESS I believe in bringing everyone with me for this next chapter. Both those who come to own my genesis paintings and those who bid. -Every bid on Chapter 1 NFTs will be timestamped and cataloged into a CLAIM CONTRACT. When the auctions close, these will be compiled and I will be painting unique variations of the 4th painting in the series of LUCI’s skull based on the total amount of bidders. -Each and every bidder will be entitled to ONE unique variation of LUCI’s skull. -Each winning bid of Birth of Luci, Lullabies for Isaac, and First Sacrifice will receive said NFT as well as be entitled to THREE unique LUCI skulls. -The “blueprint” skull painting has already been made and can be previewed in the editorial or on my socials. The variations which will make each distinct include permutations on color, material, painted tribalistic patterns, etchings and runes, overgrown nature, eye/teeth/nail variations, cracks, jewelry, head dresses, and elaborate melted distortions all pulling from the goop world and tripspace of LUCI. When the auctions close, the manual process begins, each painting handled with care, and these skulls will be claimable and dropped to all wallets randomly once the final amount of skulls is tabulated and painted.

Time moves in the wrong direction. Digital illustration created by Eric Pause. 3667 x 5000

This was truly a once in a lifetime moment. An ethereal blaze of history. On the 100 year anniversary of Meiji Jingu, on one of the only days in its history where it stays open beyond sunset for a light festival, I was fortunate enough to be there to capture it and get lost in the glows. Meiji Jingu is usually visited by millions every year and only accessible during daylight hours. On a whim, on that Sunday afternoon in November, I decided to go there for sunset. I often like to visit as it’s my little pocket of peace in Tokyo. An incomparable space of nature and zen within this bustling metropolis. I was surprised beyond words to see that The Eternal Forest was lit up with an orange glow and full of festivities. I was convinced I was in a fairytale. My life often feels like that out here. This piece is my experience of that once in a lifetime event.

A boy and a girl having a nice meal together. We can see the view of the ocean and sky from Sakura Diner.

Everything is connected to everything. It’s not only the first law of ecology, but also something that crosses my mind regularly when I think of the past, the present and the future. The past is our foundation, the bedrock that allows a stable society to exist. We treasure things from the past that we want to hold on to, while dreaming of our future.
This series shows how the present is intertwined with with the treasures of the past and our dreams about the future. This is the animated version of my artpiece Maury. Part of the EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING SERIES (2021).

This piece is called Inner Growth, and I created it because I had a lot of it going on within me this summer, even though I didn’t ask for it. For the past 11 years, my entire life has been about baseball and chasing the dream. My life revolves around success in the sport until I had my first child and until both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer. Suddenly I found myself not wanting to be so far away from home for months at a time. I battled this conflict all season long, until I was released in July. I had mixed feelings about the release. I was upset that it happened, but also a little relieved too. I still have mixed feelings about it, but I have to find a way to live with it and realize everything happens the way it’s meant to happen. Consider this my inner growth.

“I Hate This Feeling…. whatever.. can we create things we like?” a 3D animated loop created in 2019 done in Cinema 4D rendered using Sketch And Toon [H264-MP4/0:14/2000x864PX]

The impetus and dynamic orchestration of the fluctuating bodies in Impossible Sculptures symbolise the eternal tension between the terrestrial and the celestial. The work of artist duo, Hande Şekerciler and Arda Yalkın (ha:ar) centres on themes that span from our ancestral feelings to the postmodern sense of alienation. Impossible Sculptures capture the essence of our times. The artists portray dense compositions of bodies that appear reborn amidst an ethereal surrounding, reminiscent of an ultra-contemporary Renaissance. Impossible Sculptures No.26 is the first video ha:ar has produced for this series. The work was exhibited for the first time at Contemporary Istanbul between 5-10 October 2021 and has a performative feature; two new scenes has been added to the video every day, resulting in a video work that evolved throughout the show. The piece has been completed with the addition of an audio channel in the evening of October 10th. (The video was tokenized as two parts.) Part.1 1080 x 1920 HD video loop with stereo sound 2021

GM pepes, for all of y’all out there in the meatspace, IYKYK, but my frens call me the Brand Noobian, but a pleb, Ser, I am not. I’ll have you know that I am the ultimate NFT OG. I was the first one that aped into LL and all of the derivatives that followed. Living in the basement of my parents house at age 38 (its fine) I am a member of The Royal Mod Society and hail from Nagana, IRL (nagana dox myself, kek jk lol). Although my wife and kids left me, it’s only because, well…few. I guess they just weren’t on my roadmap anyways, so I delisted them. My wife would always say things like, “it’s money laundering”, or “wen family time”, or “wen will you clean the floor, or why don’t you just right click those jpegs.” Tis the szn of 1:1s, PFPs, and ed’s, but IRL, its all simply probably nothing. My wife just couldn’t cope with the fomo of living a life that truly looks rare, but now I owe her 50% of my liquidity. Bottom line, this is NFA, but I figured I’d suggest that you DYOR so that you can get the alpha on the drip from drops that obvii’s will go up only. This is the way, don’t get Rugged, and I’ll see you wen I’m ded. I’ve reached my Schelling point and I can’t figure out wen moon. I’ll see you in Valhalla after my shift at McDonald’s. GN

On The Nature Of Light, a 1/1 audio/visual digital triptych, communicates our physiological interpretation of color through visual and auditory arts. The audio & visual art piece conveys our interpretation of color through our perceptions of nature. The piece morphs through three different biomes and In each biome, the surrounding environment demonstrates the fundamental color palette of each geographical location. The focal point of the work, the central sculpture, was designed using AI and other computational art processes to distill down the complex variations of colors into a simplified palette, demonstrating how nature informs our interpretation of color. The piece can be played back forwards and backwards, which blurs the lines between what we consider to be linear in motion and how we perceive physics. Further, by emulating that same process with the music, the work creates a stronger sense of immersion, grounding the viewer by demonstrating their physiology and through a visual & audible emotional state. The central sculpture, built using AI and computational art, designed and trained on a data set created from each specific biome, allows a non-human perspective to dictate how color is understood in nature. By using a physics based computational animation that grounds the work in natural laws, the palette can be dynamically mixed, contrasted, and compared, gaining a sense of simplicity and how these colors are used in relation to each other, applying a digestible artistic lens to the complexity of nature. As the piece transforms through each biome, the music composition acts as a 1/1 mirror of how we interpret color. The music pitches in the custom score and scale are made from converting the wavelengths of the visible light spectrum that result in our definition of color to the audible frequency spectrum using mathematics. While each biome and color palette changes, the music also reflects that change its stacking of pitch layers. As you see the color palette being demonstrated in the central sculpture, I emulate that change with the music too, creating a strong sense of immersion and cohesion between the senses. The audio & visual combination grounds the work in an intentional and conceptual demonstration of how we can understand nature and how it informs us of our perceptions of color through visual and auditory arts.

As a child i often had dreams about being able to fly, and i really wished i still had those as an adult. But sometimes, every few years or so, i get lucky and catch one of those moments in my dreams, where there’s no weight that pulls you down, where you believe anything is possible. Where you disintegrate entirely into the word around you, where freedom is endless. As always, i composed the music specifically for that piece, the file comes at 4K, 75 hand drawn frames.
